Ar-He

Ar-He

Ar-He is an argon-helium gas whose unique properties make it particularly valuable for welding and special applications. Argon’s inertness and arc-stabilising properties, combined with helium’s high thermal conductivity and thermal power, provide excellent performance in applications such as TIG and MIG welding and high-tech processes.

Ar-He is a mixture of argon and helium that combines the physical properties of two inert noble gases. The mixture is colourless, odourless and non-toxic, and does not sustain combustion or react chemically with other substances.

The density and thermal conductivity of the Ar-He mixture depend on the exact alloying ratio. Ar-He alloy is produced industrially as it does not occur naturally. The alloying ratio is determined according to the application and process requirements.
