Maxeta 5 is a high-yield acid rutile-coated electrode containing iron powder. It has a 160% coverage and is intended for the welding of base and horizontal welds and bottom welds in general structural steels. It is designed to provide a high melting rate and to allow the welding of long small welds of small a-dimensions with a high weld metal yield.
Maxeta 5 is also recommended for situations where the plates to be joined are rusty, flaky, primed, etc. The flame surface and bonding to the base material are exceptionally smooth and even, making Maxeta 5 an excellent stick for applications requiring high fatigue strength.
