The use of industrial gases requires a reliable infrastructure, safe operations, and strong process expertise. Woikoski’s gas network services cover network design and construction, as well as maintenance and repair services. In addition, we offer our customers pressure equipment control and gas network analysis services.

Knowledge of gases and processes forms the foundation for design

Building a gas network involves more than just installing equipment and piping. A successful project is based on a deep understanding of gases, their properties, and the customer’s processes. Woikoski has over 140 years of experience in gas production, and the company has also built and maintained several of its own production facilities. This has resulted in extensive expertise that can be leveraged in the design and implementation of gas network solutions for customers.

– Our expertise is based, above all, on an understanding of processes. We are a leading gas producer ourselves, so we are familiar with gas production processes. “This expertise is also evident in the implementation of our customer projects, says Olli Bergmann, Technical Director at Woikoski. Thanks to our process expertise, systems can be tailored to the customer’s needs and implemented safely and in a user-friendly manner.

– Process expertise means that we know how to properly size systems, implement them safely, and build user-friendly operational solutions for our customers, Bergmann continues.

The solution is designed to meet the customer’s needs

Gas network projects always begin with an assessment of the customer’s situation and needs. For some companies, this involves building an entirely new network, while for others it means expanding or upgrading an existing system. Woikoski’s experts work with the customer to determine, among other things, consumption needs, safety requirements, and specific operational characteristics. Based on this information, the most suitable solution for the customer is designed.

– First, we work with the customer to assess their current situation, and from there we begin planning the best possible solution for their gas network systems, says Ville Mela, Sales Director at Woikoski.

A centralized gas network can also provide businesses with significant practical benefits. When gas is delivered directly to the point of use via the network, the need to handle and replace gas cylinders is reduced. The system can also be automated, for example, through remote monitoring.

– Switching to the gas network primarily offers customers occupational safety benefits, but also a competitive advantage. Customers don’t have to worry about replacing gas cylinders, and gas supply won’t be interrupted at, say, a welding station, says Mela.

Support will continue even after implementation

A properly maintained gas network has a service life of several decades. However, the safe and reliable operation of the network requires periodic servicing, maintenance, and, when necessary, system upgrades. Woikoski also offers its customers gas network service and maintenance services. Gas systems often include pressure equipment, the maintenance of which is subject to statutory obligations.

This comprehensive offering enables customers to leverage Woikoski’s expertise in the design, construction, and maintenance of gas networks.

– We help our customers build and design gas networks, since they generally don’t have much experience with them. Our many years of experience certainly help in this regard, Mela sums up.
