Woikoski’s specialty blend gases are well-defined gas mixtures designed for specific customer applications, such as measurement, calibration and analytics.
What makes a special blend gas special?
Speciality gases may contain:
- Very well defined alloying ratios, often at concentrations below 1 %
- Rare, reactive or hazardous components
- Tailor-made formulations for specific customers
The most common components used in special blend gases are:
Argon, Helium, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Carbon dioxide, Carbon monoxide, Methane, Synthetic air, Propane, Nitrous oxide, Ethylene, Acetylene, Ammonia, Sulphur dioxide, Nitrogen monoxide, Nitrogen dioxide, Hydrogen sulphide, Chlorine, Ethane, Ethanol, various hydrocarbons (butanes, pentanes, etc.)
Concentrations can start as low as ppb (parts per billion), with more than 300 different components to choose from. We will always design a gas mixture to suit your specific process, according to your needs.
ISO 17025 accredited gas mixtures
In applications where extreme reliability and certainty are required, ISO 17025 accredited alloys are often required. Each component of these mixtures has been analysed by an accredited method and is therefore more accurate than analysis in an accredited laboratory.
This is often mistakenly confused with an analysis carried out in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. However, these are two different things. An accredited mixture refers to the fact that the whole mixture has been prepared and verified according to an accredited process, not just analysed afterwards.
Woikoski offers its customers, through international partners, just such correctly certified ISO 17025 accredited mixtures – when accuracy is non-negotiable.
