The gas centre is the “heart” of the gas distribution system – ensuring that gas flows safely, reliably and at the right pressure to where it is needed. Its role is to ensure continuity of production, reduce the risk of downtime and improve safety at work.
The gas centres are responsible for gas distribution through the gas network to the gas collection points. Gas distribution centres are available in fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual versions, depending on the application. The gas centres are often located in a dedicated/reserved area outside the production facilities. Alarm devices or alarm panels can be installed to monitor the operation of the gas centre, indicating when the gas cylinders in use run out or when the automatic centre changes hands.
