We thrive and grow at Woikoski

At Woikoski, work isn’t just about getting things done—it’s about growth, collaboration, and achieving small daily successes together. Three Woikoski employees share what makes their work meaningful and why they enjoy working here year after year. What they have in common is a positive atmosphere, continuous learning, and the people behind the work.
Päivi Lanki works as a sales manager in retail at Woikoski, and her career at the company has followed a varied path. Päivi started at Woikoski in Kotka as a purchasing engineer at a young age, and over the years her responsibilities have grown to include leading the retail team. Today, Päivi works with a team of five regional sales representatives and ensures close cooperation with resellers across Finland.
Her workweeks are filled with meetings, client interactions, reporting, and resolving complaints. It’s important to get to the root of problems, not just find quick fixes. She finds her work meaningful, especially thanks to the professionalism of her colleagues at Woikoski. “The organization has specialized expertise in every field, and it’s easy and straightforward to work with my own team and other colleagues,” Päivi says. Continuous learning and listening to customers and resellers are, for her, a key part of a successful day-to-day at Woikoski.

Property Manager Pekka Silvennoinen has seven busy years at Woikoski under his belt and over 25 years of experience in property management. His workdays are filled with property maintenance, construction projects, and constantly evolving development projects in both the gas industry and Woikoski’s tourism business, Woikoski Feeling.
“The work is varied and independent. I get to plan my days largely on my own, and there’s always plenty to do,” Pekka says.
In particular, the people at the workplace and the teamwork receive praise. “It’s easy to work with everyone. Teamwork is excellent—whether with my own coworkers, other departments, or contractors.”
Having worked at several different places, Pekka has plenty to compare it to. “Woikoski is definitely the best! There’s a great work ethic here and a nice atmosphere.”

Sanna Lääveri has been working as a digital marketing coordinator at Woikoski since 2024, and her workdays are anything but monotonous. Sanna’s daily routine includes producing social media content for various channels, data and analytics, reporting, and planning and executing digital campaigns. She also works on website development in collaboration with the marketing team.
“My workdays often have me in front of or behind the camera, and I spend a lot of time shooting both photos and videos.” Similar marketing efforts are also carried out for Woikoski Feeling, Woikoski’s tourism business.
Sanna thinks Woikoski is an excellent place to work. “At Woikoski, you really get the chance to grow. Here, there’s a genuinely positive attitude toward staff development, skills, and training. Working here is the best!” Sanna says.
Friendly coworkers and a welcoming environment where it’s easy to ask for help make day-to-day work run smoothly. The gas industry offers just the right amount of challenge in marketing—enough to keep the work interesting and rewarding.
