High-quality pressure regulators and gas manifoldst

Equipment of exceptional quality is required for the handling of specialty gases to guarantee that these gases retain their high quality from packaging to use.

Woikoski’s WSG equipment range offers pressure regulators, gas manifolds and point-of-use regulators manufactured to the highest specification, making them ideal for demanding applications such as laboratories. The range consists of top-notch equipment with a precise control system, ensuring that gas can always be used at a stable, controlled flow rate and pressure.

Pressure regulators, gas manifolds and point-of-use regulators are available in chromed brass and stainless steel. When finely machined, brass is a suitable material for most specialty gases. Gases classified as corrosive, such H2S, SO2, NH3, NO and NO2, require equipment made from stainless steels to remain functional.

The WSG range mainly comes with a leak-tightness class of 1x10-8 mbar l/s He, making them suitable for gases of purity grade N60, translating into a purity level of 99.9999%.

Our equipment selection covers a wide range of pressure and flow rates, ensuring that our products can meet even the most demanding operating requirements. When selecting equipment, it is important to bear in mind that pressure and flow rate figures mentioned in product specifications are maximum values. A good rule of thumb is that the actual working flow rate and pressure should fall within the 20–80% limits of the values in specifications. This allows for more accurate control of pressure while protecting the equipment from excessive strain.

WSG R-2-200, our most popular model for specialty gas applications, is a chromed brass cylinder pressure regulator, which has a dual stage metallic piston-bellows structure to ensure excellent performance when used with inert gases and oxygen. The outlet pressure options available are 0-1, 0-3 and 0-10 bar. The standard models are available with DIN1, DIN 6 and DIN10 cylinder valve outlet.

It is worth bearing the following factors in mind when using the equipment:

  • Always read, and when necessary revise, the instructions for the equipment.
  • Inspect the equipment regularly and do not use damaged equipment.
  • Never apply grease to equipment that comes into direct contact with gases.
  • Always open valves slowly to avoid overheating due to adiabatic compression.
  • Make sure the gas pipe network is clean, as extraneous particles are the main cause of damage to equipment.
  • Never try to service pressurised equipment.
